6 Volts, 1.5 Watts Solar-on-Demand Panel for use in Birdbaths, Urn Fountains, 2-Tier Fountains that use integrated panels (panel is located underwater inside the fountain instead of outside the fountain) Patented technology allows choice of day time or night time use Panel has a built in on/off switch, a male connector for the pump and a female connector for battery pack (color coded) Uses a built-in removable battery pack (sold separately) which allows you to use the unit during a cloudy day or at night Day time use: Move switch to the 'on' (I) position and solar panel will function in direct sunlight and also function consistently with passing clouds or hazy light if the battery is charged Night time use: Move switch to the 'off' (0) position and let the unit charge during the day time. At dusk, simply move switch to the 'on' (I) position and the fountain will run until battery is empty Time to fully charge will vary by amount of use, location, season, strength of sunlight, and placement of the fountain. Requires direct sunlight to charge. Will not charge properly behind a window or screen.
